Patrick Smothers is the Chief Executive Officer of AON Neurodiagnostics, Inc., one of North America’s fastest-growing providers of in-home EEG services. With nearly a decade of experience in the neurodiagnostic industry and almost 20 years in the broader medical field, Patrick brings a deep expertise in healthcare operations, business development, sales strategy, and executive leadership.
Patrick’s career includes leadership roles at renowned publicly traded companies such as Abbott Laboratories and Strata Skin Sciences, where he gained extensive experience in pharmaceutical and medical device sales, contract negotiations, and strategic marketing. These experiences shaped his ability to build scalable solutions that drive innovation and patient outcomes in the healthcare sector.
Since joining AON, Patrick has spearheaded the company’s national expansion, growing its footprint across ten states to meet the rising demand for neurological care. Under his leadership, AON has partnered with over 150 referring physicians, achieved more than $5 million in annual revenue, and cultivated a high-performing team of over 30 neurodiagnostic professionals. Patrick’s leadership philosophy is rooted in AON’s core values: prioritizing patients, empowering providers, and investing in people.
A graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Communications and a former Division I football player for the Scarlet Knights, Patrick combines a competitive spirit with a passion for mentorship and community service. Based in Washington, D.C., he enjoys volunteering with programs affiliated with his church and spending time with family and friends at Washington Nationals baseball games and Washington Wizards basketball games.
