What will this test show my physician?
An EEG records electrical activity of the brain. By recording the electrical activity, detection of potential neurological conditions are possible, aiding in clinical outcomes.
Is an EEG test painful?
No, An EEG is a painless, noninvasive testing procedure and does not provide electrical stimulation or sensation. AON uses water soluble, latex free products. However, some patients may experience itching or skin irritation on the scalp.
What if I need assistance during testing?
AON provides 24/7 live patient support for all your needs.
What should I do in case of a medical emergency?
Call 911 or your referring physician. Although we monitor your EEG in real-time, Astir Oath Neurodiagnostics cannot provide medical emergency services and is not qualified to diagnose, treat, or make recommendations to your medical needs.
Providers
Once referred, how quickly will my patient be scheduled?
AON will typically schedule patients within 48-72 hours of requested documentation and insurance verification.
When can I expect test results?
After test completion, you can expect results within 2-3 business days.
Will I have access to review the EEG?
Yes, you will be provided with log-in credentials. Interpreting providers will be scheduled for an inservice for our user friendly reporting system and cloud-based software.
I do not want to Interpret the EEG, can you provide interpretations?
We have you covered! AON has a team of board-certified neurologists and epileptologists that will interpret your EEG if preferred.

Do we have to purchase equipment?
No, AON provides all supplies and equipment for EEG testing.
Can patients only be tested in a home setting?
No, we come to you. AON EEG technicians are able to meet your patient needs.
